EMMANUEL EDANE , DIRECTEUR GENERAL – FACADE MARITIME DU CHAMP TRIOMPHAL (FMCT)
Emmanuel Edane is an expert in complex project management with over 20 years’ experience in urban mobility, urban planning and infrastructure. As part of the engineering company INGEROP, he has managed a number of major projects in France and abroad, including the Paris tramway, the Montpellier waterfront and the development of the Vieux-Port in Marseille.
As CEO of FMCT, a subsidiary of the Gabonese Sovereign Wealth Fund (FGIS), Emmanuel Edane is currently focusing his expertise on the development of the Baie des Rois since January 2022, a sustainable urban development project promoting economic opportunities through an eco-responsible approach to mobility, energy management and construction.
Due to its geographical, historical positioning and its nature as a seafront city center, the Baie des Rois is destined to become a regional benchmark for eco-cities. Experienced and passionate, he is convinced that the project has the potential to become a model of African urban development.
Emmanuel Edane holds a Master’s degree in Construction Engineering from the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan and is a graduate of the CHEBAP section of the Centre des Hautes Études de la Construction de Paris.
The Baie des Rois also won two major awards in 2023, including Best Sustainable Infrastructure Project for its eco-responsible approach at the Africa Investments Forum & Awards (AIFA) and Best New Mega Development at the Marché International des Professionnels de l’Immobilier (MIPIM Awards).
